Augi Case Study
A consumer health app that unifies medical records, wearables, labs, medications, and daily check-ins into one coherent, AI-readable picture — with an assistant that answers questions in plain English.

What We Did
We built the unified record that everything else depends on. Augi Health syncs medical records directly from US healthcare providers over FHIR and pulls in Apple HealthKit and wearable platform data, lab results, medications, immunizations, user-uploaded documents, and daily mood and health check-ins — then reconciles them into a single coherent picture rather than a stack of parallel feeds.
The AI layer sits behind a single integration point — one place to enforce policy, manage keys, or change model providers, rather than dozens of call sites scattered through the codebase. All AI work runs on managed background queues with automatic retries and duplicate collapsing, so importing several hundred records triggers one summary refresh instead of hundreds, and a slow model call never blocks the app. Response caching and per-user daily budgets keep AI spend an engineering discipline rather than a surprise on the invoice. When a supporting service hiccups, chat continues with reduced context instead of failing outright.
